Delivery Schedule

We deliver your order as soon as possible. We will normally send your order within 7 business days of confirmation of your Contact Lens Prescription. International orders are generally received in under 15 days.

Tax Charges for orders made from the UK or the European Union, VAT is included. Due to shipping costs we cannot supply Contact Lens Solutions to areas outside the United Kingdom.

Introduction

Our Terms and Conditions comply with UK legislation, including the Distance Selling Regulations and are designed to ensure that all our customers can shop easily and with confidence at Sightcare2000. As such, any disputes shall be adjudicated according to the laws of England and Wales.

We endeavour to ensure product availability on all our advertised goods, however, in the unlikely event that your chosen item is unavailable we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible with the expected delivery dates. If an item has been replaced by a manufacturer with an alternative we will supply this replacement.

We maintain that, by confirming your order, you unreservedly accept our conditions of sale, having read them. All statements, guarantees or warranties in our terms of trading are additional to your statutory rights.

Contact Lenses and Solutions

You must only order the Prescription Contact Lenses and Solutions (or their equivalent) that have been prescribed to you by your optician or optical practitioner, you must not order prescription Contact Lenses that have not been prescribed to you by your optician or optical practitioner and you must return regularly to your prescribing optician or optical practitioner for aftercare checks.

Sightcare2000 must confirm your prescription with your optician, or you must supply the orginal precsription to us which we will copy and return to you. This is a legal requirement of supplying contact lenses. More information can be found at the General Optical Councils website in the follwoing document <Restrictions on testing of sight, fitting contact lenses, sale and supply of optical appliacnces and use of titles and descriptions> part 27 3.a.i to 3.a.iii.

Contact lenses can only be supplied to a prescription that has not reached the expiry date.

Contents of Contact Lenses and Solutions

Some Contact Lenses and Solutions are sold as a timed supply, contents of these packages may change without notice but will still be the equivalent timed supply. From time to time manufactures may change and update packaging. Sightcare2000 cannot be responsible for the change of appearance.

Cancellation

You have the right to cancel your order with us, in accordance with Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. The period in which you can exercise that right is 7 working days beginning the day after your goods are received. The unused and unopened goods must be returned, at the customer's expense, within the 7 days of the notice to cancel. We reserve the right to have the goods inspected by a technician prior to replacement or refund.

We cannot accept any opened Contact Lenses or Solutions. Some Contact Lenses are custom made to your specifications, these custom lenses cannot be returned for a refund.

We reserve the right to charge a £7 restocking fee on returned items.

Damaged Goods

In the unlikely event your order is damaged in transit please contact us immediately. Please retain the original packaging for returning your order. We will arrange for a prompt replacement or refund, whichever is your preference.

Returning Goods

If you return your goods UNOPENED, UNUSED AND IN ORIGINAL CONDITION within the 7 day purchase period, we will refund your money.

We will not refund an item when a product has been specially ordered or custom made for you.

We cannot accept Contact Lenses or Contact Lens Solutions for refund if any of the suppliers packaging has been opened.

Please package any returned items carefully and return them, for your own protection, via a recorded and insured method of carriage. Royal Mail Special/Recorded Delivery is recommended. The cost of returned items is the responsibility of the customer unless the goods are found to be faulty or delivered to you in error.

A maximum of £7 can be credited towards any delivery costs incurred. A technical diagnostic examination may be carried out prior to any replacement or refund.

It is your responsibility to check your consignment, if any incorrect goods are supplied you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery. After this period mistakes cannot be rectified.

Availability of Goods

While all care is taken to ensure appropriate stock levels, all products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at anytime without prior notice. If we do not supply the goods for any reason you will be notified and any charges will be refunded. Internal contents of Contact Lenses and Solutions may change without notice. If an item has been replaced by a manufacturer with an alternative we will supply this replacement.

Sightcare2000 will not be responsible for compensating you for any losses you may suffer if goods are not supplied, deemed faulty, damaged in transit or not of a kind foreseeable by the supplier.

Duplicate Invoices

Should you require a duplicate invoice, there is an additional administration fee of £20. Duplicates will only be dispatched after payment has been received.

Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Sightcare2000 agrees to supply and you agree to purchase goods subject to these terms and conditions, which shall supercede any terms and conditions on any purchase order or document that you submit to Sightcare2000. These terms and conditions supercede and take precedence over any previous terms and conditions. All goods remain property of Sightcare2000 until full and final payment has been received. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and each party agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales

Please note that we practice a policy of continual review and reserve the right to change the above terms and conditions at any time without notice.

We supply a large range of contact lenses - these include progressive contact lenses, one day disposable contact lenses, monthly disposable contact lenses, monthly toric contact lenses, monthly bifocal lenses, monthly coloured contact lenses, extended wear contact lenses and yearly contact lenses.

Sightcare2000 also supplies contact lens solutions, including all in one solutions, hydrogen peroxide systems and gas permeable systems. We also supply low vision aids and other accessories.

Delivery within UK Mainland is FREE on orders over £35.00 otherwise a charge of £3.95 is made.
